3rd Annual Arts for All Performance

Home 3rd Annual Arts for All Performance

Part of the mission for YSKP is to build and enrich audiences in the Miami Valley. But there are youth, especially those on the Autism spectrum, who find it challenging to sit quietly for an hour and a half. Our Arts for All performance is for them! By providing professional educators to act as docents and calming centers with tactile stimulation, we aim to make an audience experience that supports these kids in enjoying live theater. Additionally, we will alter our performance, adding a narrator to help youth follow the story, adjusting sound levels, and reducing elements that might startle or distract. We wish to make at least one show per year as inclusive as possible for young people who might not otherwise be able to experience live theater.

Luminous Luna: Myth and Imagination is a story of the scientific and mythological importance of our moon. Directed by Ara G. Beal and Melissa Heston this show uses modern dance, music, and innovative props to bring you five lunar myths from around the world. Luminous Luna: Myth and Imagination, book and lyrics by Luke Dennis and music by James Johnston, will be YSKP’s 21st original musical in 23 years.

Underwritten by Wagner Subaru, all tickets to this performance are only $5 and available at the door.
Antioch Amphitheater, 910 Corry Street, Yellow Springs, Ohio.
